Pet Property Damage
Covers up to £5,000, no excess
What is Covered
Accidental Damage: This covers sudden, unintentional, and one-off incidents caused by a pet that result in physical damage to the property, which could not have been foreseen or prevented.
For example, a cat misjudging a jump and knocking a landlord-provided television off a sideboard, causing the screen to smash.
Fixtures and Fittings: This refers to the permanent or semi-permanent parts of the property provided by the landlord, ranging from the kitchen units and bathroom suites to the "soft" fittings like carpets, curtains, and blinds.
For example: A puppy chewing through the corner of a fitted kitchen unit.
What's not Covered
Wear and Tear: This is the gradual, natural deterioration of the property that happens over time through normal, everyday use; because it is not "accidental" or "sudden." It is not covered by the policy.
For example: The gradual flattening of carpet in areas where a pet frequently sleeps.
No hidden fees or interest to pay monthly. The total price includes Insurance Premium Tax.
